The joint venture between Suncor Energy, Total E&P Canada and Teck Resources announced last week that operations at the Fort Hills Oil Sands Mine, located 90 kilometers north of fort McMurray, in Northern Alberta, had started. Producing a maximum of 194,000 BPD, this project is one of the biggest oil sands projects built in Canada.
