Hydrogen Sulphide Unit
The HSU is an environmental unit aimed at improving overall emissions from the facility. Works included the installation of all piping in the existing facility to not only support the HSU, but the upcoming VDU and DRU units as well as all tie-points. DAWCO was responsible to provide scaffolding services to support not only the DAWCO scope, but the scope of other contractors working in the area. DAWCO was responsible for the complete piping scope, E&I scope along with insulation, erection of buildings and misc steel.

Since 2009, DAWCO works closely with the team from U2 Maintenance to ensure maximum operational readiness of the facility in the downstream process area and utilities. In 2015, DAWCO took over the management of all trades in an effort to further streamline the maintenance process and increase cost efficiency. At present, DAWCO's mandate includes regular and emergency maintenance activities, shop fabrication, planning and quality control.
